The Montague baseball squad opened its season Tuesday night with a doubleheader split, losing to Forest Hills Eastern 3-0 in the opening game before picking up a 4-0 shutout win in the nightcap.

In Game 1, Abram Erickson took the loss on the mound for the Wildcats, allowing three earned runs in six innings.

Dylan Stever paced Montague’s offense with two hits in the opening game.

In Game 2, Stever tossed five shutout innings for the Wildcats striking out four batters.

Sebastian Archer and Max Mickelson each recorded two hits for Montague.
