The Muskegon Community College baseball team dropped a doubleheader to Kellogg Community College on Friday.
The Jayhawks lost the opener 9-5. The game was tied 5-5 in the bottom of the sixth, then Kellogg scored four runs to take the victory. Collin McLelland paced MCC at the plate with two hits, including a double, and two RBI.
The Jayhawks lost 12-4 in the nightcap. Kellogg led 8-4 in the sixth, then scored six more times to end the game. Chad Makarewicz went 2-for-2 at the plate for MCC.
MCC is now 6-8-1 on the season and 0-2 in conference play.
