Allison TenHove tosses no-hitter in opening game of twin bill sweep for OV softball team

The Orchard View softball team cruised past Shelby in both of its games of a doubleheader on Friday night.

The Cardinals blanked Shelby 14-0 during the opening contest, then beat the Tigers 14-4 in the nightcap.

In Game 1 Cassidee White and Jaelynn Eggerson led OV with three hits apiece.

Freshman Allison TenHove tossed a no-hitter for the Cardinals, walking one batter and striking out 12.

In Game 2 OV was paced by White and Eggerson with three RBIs, while Matisen Gaunt chipped in with three hits.

Halee Holman pitched the win for the Cardinals in the nightcap.
