Elijah Buchberger’s strong six-inning pitching performance propelled the Montague baseball squad to a 7-0 win over Holton in a non-league game on Monday.

Buchberger recorded four strikeouts, while only giving up two hits, a walk and a hit batsman. He also produced on the offensive end with two hits and two RBIs.

Montague quickly jumped in front in the bottom of the first inning with four runs.

The Wildcats added two more runs in the fourth and another in the fifth frame.

Nick Stever had three hits to lead the Wildcats while Drake Roesler and Sebastian Archer each added two.
