The Fremont baseball team lost a hard-fought 2-1 decision to Reed City on Friday, then fell 10-4 in Game 2.

Reed City jumped out to a 2-0 lead after one inning in Game 1, and that remained the score until the seventh inning.

In the seventh, Gage Guzman hit a solo home run for Fremont, but the Packers could get no closer.

Starting pitcher Kyle Fox took the hard-luck loss, tossing five innings of two-hit ball while striking out six hitters.

In Game 2, James Pekel led the Packer offense with four hits and two runs while Cooper Kukal and Zane Stroven each had two hits.
