Fruitport baseball bats fall silent in a 5-0 conference loss to Jenison

The Fruitport baseball team fell to Jenison 5-0 on Thursday in an O-K Black Conference matchup.

Lucas Kleyn took the loss on the mound for the Trojans, despite giving up only four hits and one earned run in 5 2/3 innings. Karson Kriger also pitched well in relief, allowing only one hit.

The Trojans couldn’t get anything going offensively, managing only three hits on the day.
