The Grand Haven softball team lost both games of an O-K Red doubleheader against state-ranked Caledonia on Tuesday.

The Bucs (6-4) lost Game 1 in extra innings, 3-2, and dropped the nightcap 7-3.

In Game 1, the Bucs missed an opportunity to win in the bottom of the eighth, then allowed Caledonia’s go-ahead run to score in the top of the ninth. Grand Haven fell behind early in Game 2 and never recovered.

Amaya Schuler pitched the full nine innings and struck out four for the Bucs in Game 1, but took a tough-luck loss. Baby Hang, Haley Aldred and Jackie Crow had two hits each.

In Game 2, Hang and Kaelyn Stafford each managed two more hits. Hang also threw five innings in relief, allowing just one run. Crow and Aldred each had an RBI for Grand Haven.
