Holton’s varsity softball team swept Hesperia in a Central State Activities Association doubleheader Tuesday evening, winning 7-0 and 11-2.

The Red Devils remain undefeated at 9-0 overall and 4-0 in league play.

In the opener, Kaylie Piper went 3-for-3 with two triples, while Shelbey Younts, Cortney Slater and Morgan Murat each added a pair of hits.

Makaela Baker got the win in the pitching circle, as she struck out eight.

In Game 2, Slater had a double, while Emily Larabee went 2-for-3 at the plate. That was enough support for pitcher Haylee Brant, who earned the win.
