North Muskegon’s Jake Bean went deep twice and the Norse cruised to a 18-8 win over Hesperia in West Michigan Conference action Thursday.

The Norse (5-5) built a 10-1 lead after three innings, but the host Panthers rallied to cut the lead to 10-8 through five innings.

But Bean homered to leadoff the sixth and added a 2-run home run in the seventh en route to the win.

Alex Slocum picked up the win on the mound, and helped himself with four hits and three runs scored, and Brighton Schofield added three hits, three RBIs and four runs.
