Jayhawks softball team has a huge weekend, going 4-0 against Glen Oaks, Ancilla

The Muskegon Community College softball team picked up four wins on the weekend to improve to 20-11 overall and 13-7 in conference play.

Muskegon defeated Glen Oaks Community College 8-0 and 13-5 on Friday before defeating Ancilla College 6-0 and 10-3 on Saturday.

Bri Mairose paced the Jayhawk offense on Friday, going a combined 6-of-8 with four RBIs while Morgan Engelsman and Nicole Koczenasz each picked up wins on the mound.

On Saturday, Taylor Schmitt led the Jayhawks with two RBIs in the Game 1, while also going 3-for-5 at the plate in Game 2.

Muskegon Community College will next host Lansing Community College on Friday in a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m.
