The Kent City softball team’s bats came alive in a CSAA doubleheader sweep of Morley-Stanwood on Tuesday.

The Eagles won a slugfest in the opener, 15-13. Kassidy Heeringa had four hits, three RBIs and scored three runs. Autumn O’Keefe added three hits and two RBIs while Kelsey Krueger homered for the Eagles.

Kent City completed the sweep with a 16-0, four-inning victory. Janelle Krueger pitched a shutout, allowing only one hit and one walk while striking out three. Kelsey Krueger had a double, single, and four RBIs.

The Eagles are now 10-3 on the season and 5-3 in conference play.
