The Mona Shores softball team dropped a pair of games to Jenison on Tuesday in an O-K Black Conference doubleheader.
The Sailors fell 11-1 in the opener. They stranded six runners while failing to stop the powerful Jenison offense.
Mona Shores’ bats were more productive in Game 2, but it wasn’t enough to avoid a 14-8 loss.
Ryleigh Wehler, Veronica Kastelic, Shelby Savacool and Ellery Rose all had two hits for the Sailors in the nightcap while Taylor Dew had a two-run home run in the first inning.
You should ask coach Crago why his best hitter sat for both games.
Madison Cirner hit .847 in 10th grade and .789 her freshman year both of witch would crush the all time batting average at mona shores but she is sitting both games. Now you got something to ask 17 years vet coach Crago.
Really “Ken”…come on..
