The Mona Shores softball team swept a doubleheader from East Kentwood on Saturday, 8-6 and 17-6.
In Game 1, Madison Van Etten picked up the win on the mound. The offense was led by Zoie Willeke, who was 2-for-3 with 3 RBIs. Ryleigh Wehler and Ellery Rose each had two hits while Taylor Dew hit a solo home run.
In Game 2, Lauryn Patterson pitched the win, striking out three. Veronica Kastelic led the offense, going 5-for-5 with five RBIs. Grace Hall and Shelby Savacool each had two hits.
Dew was 2-for-4 with two homers and five RBIs. She broke her own single-season school home run record with her ninth round-tripper in 14 games.
Mona Shores is now 5-9 on the season.
