The Muskegon Community College softball team dropped a pair of games to Kalamazoo Valley Community College on Tuesday.

The Jayhawks fell 5-1 in the opener, after Kalamazoo Valley scored three runs in the seventh inning. Bri Mairose had a pair of hits for MCC.

MCC lost the second game by another 5-1 score. Kalamazoo Valley grabbed an early 3-0 lead and the Jayhawks never got untracked offensively. Mairose had a home run for MCC while Alysia Folkersma had two hits.

MCC is now 14-10 in conference play and 22-14 overall.
