Muskegon softball squad wins its first game of the season, splits twin bill with Union

The Muskegon softball team picked up its first win of the season in the second game of a high-scoring doubleheader with Grand Rapids Union on Tuesday.

GR Union took the first game 23-4, then the Big Reds (1-3) rebounded to take the second game by a 17-13 margin.

Julie Moore, Jasmine Croff, Antinique Jones and Amari Landeros led Muskegon at the plate with key hits in Game 2.

Croff also picked up the win on the mound for the Big Reds.
