The Shelby and North Muskegon baseball teams played to a split in a doubleheader on Tuesday in West Michigan Conference play.

The Norsemen blanked Shelby 3-0 in the opening game, then the Tigers responded with a 14-2 victory in the nightcap.

In Game 1 North Muskegon was led by Brighton Schofield and Ryan Kenny on the mound. They combined for a two-hit, 10 strikeout performance.

Schofield also led the Norsemen offense along with Alex Slocum with two hits apiece.

In Game 2 the Tigers, who are now 5-5 on the season and 2-2 in league play, were paced by Jonah Kelley and Kristian Oberlin with two hits each.

Kelley pitched a complete game win for the Tigers, walking one batter.
