The Shelby baseball team picked up a doubleheader sweep of Fremont on Wednesday.

The Tigers pitched their way to a 5-1 win in the opening game before breaking out the bats for a 10-5 victory in the nightcap.

Cody Devries earned the win on the mound in the opener for Shelby, throwing seven innings and allowing just two hits.

The Tigers were led by Jon Hughey in Game 1 offensively with two hits, including a double, an RBI and a run scored.

Fremont was led by Gage Guzman and James Pekel, who each had one hit.

Kristian Oberlin propelled the Tigers offensively in Game 2, collecting three hits and two RBIs.

Matt Felt was on the mound for the Tigers and threw a complete game with three strikeouts.

Parker Groenevelt led the Packers with three hits and two RBIs in the nightcap.
