The Spring Lake boys lacrosse team traveled to South Bend, Indiana on Tuesday to face Penn High School.

The Lakers came away with an 8-6 victory over Penn to improve to a 2-2 record on the season.

Spring Lake jumped out to 2-0 lead after the first quarter, led 5-3 at halftime and had an 8-4 advantage after three quarters before holding on for the win.

The Lakers were paced by Dominik Molotky, Gavin Alban and Colby Brown with two goals apiece, while Max White and Nate Nass each had one tally.

Ishiah Griswold, Brown and White also chipped in with an assist for Spring Lake.

The Lakers will return home on Friday night to host Rockford.
