The Kent City softball team cruises past WMC/MCC in a twin bill, 10-0 and 12-1

Kent City’s softball team took two non-league games from the Western Michigan Christian/Muskegon Catholic squad on Tuesday, 10-0 and 12-1. 

Game 1 ended after five innings due to the mercy rule.

Blaire Mortensen got the victory for Kent City, pitching all five innings and recording five strikeouts. Sarah Meek led the Eagles with three hits, two runs scored, and an RBI. 

 Game 2 was all Janelle Krueger. She earned the win on the mound for Kent City while recording two hits and scoring two runs.
