Thompson, Seid pitch great games for Ravenna in a doubleheader sweep of Hart

The Ravenna baseball team used great pitching to sweep a doubleheader from Hart in West Michigan Conference action on Tuesday.

Pitcher Brian Thompson tossed six innings of one-hit baseball and struck out 10 to lead the Bulldogs to a 15-0 victory in Game 1.

Brendan Redding had three hits and three RBIs and Austin Seid had two hits and two RBIs to lead the Bulldogs offensively.

Brendan Reid had the lone hit for Hart. Relief pitcher Leo McCulley had a strong outing for the Pirates.

Ravenna completed the sweep with a 4-0 victory in Game 2.

Seid threw a no-hitter for the Bulldogs, striking out 10. Thompson, Evan Kops and Caleb McCullough each had one hit for Ravenna.

Alex Kempker pitched a strong game for Hart, allowing two hits 3 1/3 innings
