The Whitehall softball team swept Shelby on Tuesday in a West Michigan Conference doubleheader.

The Vikings took opening game by an 11-5 margin, then won the nightcap 13-6.

Alison Shaffer picked up the win for Whitehall in Game 1 by striking out four batters.

Katelyn Goodrich and Saje Preihs combined for six hits and six RBI’s for the Vikings, while Tori Mussell led Shelby with two triples.

Whitehall’s Ella Lyvere got the win in the circle in Game 2 while Madison Bond, Bailee Spicklemire, Goodrich and Jessica Uganski each had an RBI hit.

Dana Payne paced the Tigers with three hits.

The Vikings are now 7-5 overall on the season and 4-2 in WMC play.
