The Western Michigan Christian girls soccer team posted a 1-1-1 record against three state-ranked opponents on Saturday.
The Warriors lost their first game to Grosse Pointe University Liggett 3-1. Two of the Liggett goals came when WMC players accidently put the ball in their own goal. Anna Sytsema scored for WMC.
The Warriors rebounded with a 2-0 victory over Manchester. Morgan Kinnucan and Cassie Kingma found the back of the net for WMC.
The final game was a 1-1 tie between WMC and Lansing Christian. Kinnucan had the Warriors’ goal.
WMC is now 5-5-2 on the season.
