Fremont soccer team falls behind early, but roars back to tame Tigers

Fremont got an early wake up call against Grant on Wednesday, then put the Tigers to sleep.

Grant opened scoring with a first-period goal from Nikki Tellkamp, but the Packers came roaring back with five unanswered goals to earn the 5-1 victory.

Fremont improves to 10-2 overall and 8-2 in conference action.

Bre Harris had a hat trick with three goals, while Elly O’Neill and Bryar Vasquez added single goals.

Natalie Jamieson and O’Neill had assists for the Packers.

In goal, Abby Pell made six saves for Fremont, while Grant’s Lily Scott had 10 saves.
