Mead has a big night at the plate, leading Kent City to a pre-district baseball win

Gavin Mead’s bat led the Kent City baseball team to a 8-5 victory over Lakeview on Tuesday in a Division 3 pre-district matchup.

Mead went 4-for-5 on the day with one RBI, while Whyatt Ellicott added three hits for the Eagles.

Skylour Campbell earned the victory on the mound by throwing five innings in relief and striking out four batters.

Kent City will play host Newagyo on Saturday in the district semifinals.
