The Grand Haven baseball squad picked up two games over Montague in a non-league doubleheader on Monday.

A big seventh inning propelled the Buccaneers to a 6-3 win in the opening game, then a strong pitching performance led to a 7-0 victory in the nightcap.

The Wildcats jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning, but the Bucs tied it up in the fourth before a four-run seventh inning was enough to seal the deal for Grand Haven.

Montague was led by Luke Marsh and Nick Stever with two hits each in Game 1.

In Game 2, Grand Haven scored five runs in the third inning to bury the Wildcats early before adding insurance runs in the fourth and fifth frames.

Montague (15-12) was led by Dylan Stever with two hits while Nick Stever hit a double.
