The Ravenna baseball team swept Shelby in a West Michigan Conference doubleheader Tuesday.

The Bulldogs edged out the Tigers in the opener 2-1, then took the nightcap 13-1.

In Game 1, Brian Thompson pitched a complete game for Ravenna, striking out eight and only allowing three hits.

David Thompson and Caleb McCullough scored the two runs for the Bulldogs.

In Game 2, Ravenna’s Austin Sied pitched a complete five-inning game, striking out seven and allowing three hits. Nick Lieffers and David Thompson each contributed three RBIs for the Bulldogs.
