West Michigan Whitecaps pitcher Gregory Soto continued to shine on Sunday, leading the Caps to a 2-0 victory over Kane County at Fifth Third Ballpark.

Soto pitched six innings while striking out eight and giving up three hits. He has now thrown 28 innings on the season without allowing an earned run. Soto now sits at 3-0 on the season.

Cole Bauml played a role in both Whitecaps runs. He scored on an RBI single by Daniel Pinero in the fourth inning and singled home Will Savage in the fifth.

West Michigan is now 19-11 and in second place of the Midwest League Eastern Division, a game behind Dayton.

The Whitecaps will travel to Peoria on Monday to begin a three-game series at 7:30 p.m.
