Ludington softball squad struggles to score runs in two Lakes 8 losses to Manistee

Ludington’s varsity softball squad dropped both games of a Lakes Eight Conference doubleheader with Manistee on Tuesday.

The Orioles, now 3-21 (1-11) on the season, fell 7-1 in the opener and 9-3 in Game 2.

Ryan Makowicki pitched the opener and struck out eight. Breanna Lange led the offense with three hits. Olivia VerStrat had a double and an RBI.

Lange led the way again in Game 2 with two hits and an RBI. VerStrat and Karlee Plamondon had a hit and an RBI each.
