Ludington’s softball team found some relief during a tough season on Wednesday, as the Orioles took two from Mason County Central, 7-4 and 10-0.

In the opener, pitcher Ryan Makowicki pitched a complete game, as she scattered seven hits and struck out five Spartans.

Mackenzie Howe and Riley Rittenhouse each had a hit and RBI, while Breanna Lange had a hit and scored a run. Olivia VerStrat contributed an RBI and scored two runs.

In Game 2, Megan Mulherin tossed the complete game shutout. She struck out four, walked three and allowed five hits.

Lange had a huge game at the plate, as she went 5-for-5, with an RBI and four runs scored.

Howe and Mikayla Collins each tallied three hits — with Howe recording two triples and three RBIs.

Makowicki and Rittenhouse added two hits apiece for the Orioles, who improve to 5-21 overall.
