The Muskegon Risers had success in their first game as part of a summer league, beating RWB Adria 3-2 on Saturday in Chicago.

The Risers, who have been an independent semipro soccer team for the past two years, are now competing in the Premier League of America.

Muskegon scored first when Michael Mayberry connected with a goal in the first half. RWB Adria answered a few minutes later, and the score was tied 1-1 at halftime.
