The Mona Shores softball team picked up a pair of close victories in a doubleheader sweep of Kenowa Hills on Tuesday.

The Sailors (19-14, 5-5) walked-off for a 7-6 win in the opener and took the nightcap by a 10-8 margin.

Taylor Dew was the hero for Mona Shores in Game 1, driving in the game-winning run on a single in the bottom of the 7th.

Dew had two hits and three RBIs, while Veronica Kastelic went 3-for-4 for the Sailors and Grace Hall had a two-run double.

Madison Van Etten got the win on the mound in the opener.

Hall had two more RBIs in Game 2 and Kastelic added two hits for the Sailors.

Lauren Patterson pitched the victory in the nightcap.
