The Muskegon Catholic baseball team swept past Manistee on Thursday in Lakes 8 Conference action, winning the doubleheader 9-2 and 10-0.

In Game 1, Duy Nguyen picked up the win on the mound, pitching all seven innings while surrendering four hits and striking out four. Bobby Ahern led the MCC offense with two hits and two RBIs while Cole Charlesworth had a hit, scored two runs and stole four bases.

Nolan Convertini pitched all five innings for the Crusaders in Game 2, giving up three hits and striking out three. Ahern, Ben Treutler, Devin Comes and Nate McKeown all had two hits to lead Muskegon Catholic.
