Oakridge improved its stellar season record to 21-1 on Tuesday following a West Michigan Conference sweep of rival Montague, 14-4 and 14-1.

In the opener, pitcher Kayla Fessenden allowed just five hits, while striking out eight in a shortened five innings of work.

At the plate, Alyssa Fessenden connected on a home run with one of her two hits. Halle Jennings added three RBIs, and Sophia Wiard tallied two hits.

For Montague, Alyssa Bobian had a two-run home run.

In the nightcap, Madison Carroll was dominant in the pitching circle, as she allowed just two hits and fanned 10 in six innings.

Carroll also got it done at the plate with thee hits and two RBIs. Hannah Reinhold and Kayla Fessenden also contributed two RBIs apiece.

The Eagles are currently ranked No. 5 in Division 2 in the Michigan High School Softball Coaches Association state rankings.
