The Ravenna baseball team swept its doubleheader against Whitehall in a West Michigan Conference action on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs took opener by a score of 8-5, then blanked Whitehall by an 11-0 margin in the nightcap.

Brian Thompson, who improved to 7-0 on the season, got the win in Game 1 for Ravenna, allowing five hits.

Thompson and Austin Sied led the Bulldog offense with three hits each.

Sied pitched a shutout in Game 2, striking out five batters and scattering five hits.

Thompson and Evan Kops each had two hits and two RBIs to lead the Ravenna’s offense.

Ravenna is now 12-8 overall and 8-2 in WMC play.
