The Shelby and Grant baseball teams split a non-league doubleheader on Thursday.
The Tigers overcame a huge deficit in the opening game to pick up a 9-8 victory, then fell to Grant 15-12 in the nightcap.
In Game 1 Shelby, which trailed early on 8-1, was led by Matt Felt and Kristian Oberlin with two hits apiece while pitcher Cody DeVries picked up the complete-game win.
Oberlin and Jon Hughey led the Tigers in Game 2 with two hits each.
The Tigers are now 13-9 on the season.
