Spring Lake blanks Grand Haven in a non-league girls soccer contest, 2-0


The Spring Lake girls soccer team came out victorious in a tightly contested gane with Grand Haven on Friday.

The Lakers won 2-0 by playing great defense and taking advantage of set pieces.

Spring Lake’s first goal came on a corner kick from Becca Rush in the first half.

Rush’s goal was the only tally until Jaedyn Shelton found the net on a free kick with five seconds remaining in regulation.

Spring Lake’s goalkeeper Kamryn Lewkowski picked up the shutout win in net.
