The Hesperia baseball team picked up a doubleheader sweep of Central State Activities Association rival Morley Stanwood on Wednesday.

The Panthers won Game 1 in a shutout, 10-0, and completed the sweep in Game 2 with a 10-6 victory.  

Greg Balkema pitched five innings, allowed two hits and no runs for the Panthers in the opener. Brendan McAree paced the offense with four hits, including two doubles, and three RBIs. Hunter Dickinson and Jake Klemundt each had two hits.

In Game 2, Zach Young threw six innings to get the win. He struck out seven and allowed two earned runs. Dickinson had three hits and scored three runs for the Panthers. McAree added two doubles and three RBIs, while Gavin Schmitz drove in four runs on two hits, including a double.
