The Western Michigan Christian/Muskegon Catholic softball team lost two games to Manistee on Tuesday in Lakes 8 Conference action.

WMCC lost the opener 3-1. Manistee scored an unearned run in the first inning and added two more runs in the third. WMCC pushed across its lone run in the top of the fifth on an infield groundout by Taylor Mosher.

Rebecca Ter Haar had two hits for WMCC while Amelia Heminger and Ashley Sandin had one apiece. Haylee Moser took the tough loss in the circle, tossing six innings of three-hit ball, surrendering three hits and striking out four.

In the second game, Manistee scored runs in every inning en route to an 11-1 win in 5 innings.  WMCC’s lone run was scored in the fifth inning on an infield groundout by Leah Sweetman. Hannah Nestell and Stephanie Weesies had hits for WMCC. Moser struck out seven in the loss.
