The Muskegon Clippers wrapped up their road trip by dropping both games of a doubleheader against the Irish Hills Leprechauns on Friday night. 

Irish Hills took Game 1 by a score of 11-8 and the nightcap 11-6.

In Game 1, Tyler Trovinger led the Clippers’ offense with a home run and four RBIs while Peter Zimmerman added two hits. 

Starter Matt Goytia pitched 3 2/3 innings while allowing five runs. Chris Sparks, Andrew Null, Brandon Knor, and Ethan Hajdukovic combined to pitch the rest of the game. 

In Game 2, a seven-run third inning was the difference for the Leprechauns. 

Trovinger hit his second home run of the night while Nolan Bryant and Bryce Kelley each had two hits. 

Starting pitcher Scott Bean took the loss while Jacob Buchberger threw 3 2/3 out of the bullpen.
