The Muskegon Clippers’ three-game win streak ended with a thud on Thursday in a 20-6 loss to the Grand River Loggers at Marsh Field.

Pitcher Adam Biss took the loss, tossing 4 1/3 innings while giving up seven runs. Scott Bean, Chris Sparks, Brandon Knorr and Jacob Buchberger combined to pitch the remaining innings.

Bryce Kelley, Ethan Hajdukovic and Luke LaLumia led the Muskegon offense with two hits apiece.

The loss drops the Clippers to 15-18 on the season, leaving them in a tie for third place in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League Northern Division standings.

The Clippers will travel to Canada to take on the second place St. Clair Green Giants on Friday and Saturday night. They are four games behind the Green Giants in the battle to earn a playoff spot.

Following that two-game series, the Clippers will return home for games on Sunday and Monday night. There are eight games remaining in the regular season.
