The West Michigan Whitecaps defeated Quad Cities 6-2 on Monday night to close out their six game home stand.

West Michigan is 63-28 on the season and 17-6 in the second half, good for first place in the Midwest Eastern League second half standings.

Cole Bauml paced the Whitecaps offense with two hits and four RBIs while Derek Hill added two hits and one RBI of his own.

Starting pitcher Anthony Castro picked up his seventh win on the season, tossing five innings and allowing one unearned run.

The Whitecaps will next travel to Beloit for a series beginning at 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
