The Grand Haven girls volleyball team finished 3-2 at the Grand Haven Tournament Monday.

The Bucs reached the semifinals before falling to East Grand Rapids 25-20, 25-12.

Grand Haven had victories over Northview and Western Michigan Christian in pool play, and defeated Montague, 25-17, 25-22, in the consolation game.

Olivia Boeve led the Bucs with 34 kills, 30 digs and seven aces. Ashley Slater had 20 kills, Lauren Jonker added 15 kills, Ashlyn Hall finished with 44 assists and Sam Boeve had 40 assists.

Fruitport finished the day with a 2-3 record, beating Grand Rapids Northview and splitting matches with Zeeland East. The Trojans also dropped matches to Montague and East Grand Rapids.

 

The Trojans’ Kailey Carmean finished the tournament with 114 assists, Kylie Oberlin had 36 kills and Trinity Busscher added nine aces.

Montague posted a 2-3 record, beating Fruitport and Zeeland West and losing to Grand Haven, Coopersville and East Grand Rapids. Alyssa Bobian and Brooklyn Schneider had 28 kills apiece while Morgan Roesler had 57 digs and 10 aces.

Western Michigan Christian posted an 0-5 record in the tournament. Madison Heiss led the Warriors with 22 kills.
