The Montague volleyball squad took second place at the Mason County Central invitational on Tuesday after going 5-1 overall.

The Wildcats fell to Kingsley in a two-set sweep, losing both sets by 25-20 and 25-22 margins.

Montague picked up wins over Mason County Central, Fremont, Kingsley, Benzine and Newaygo.

The Wildcats were led by Allyssa Bobian with 45 kills while Ally Hall added 32 and led in blocks with eight.

Morgan Roesler added 60 digs and 14 aces for Montague and Summer Garwood dished out 132 assists.

Montague now has a 10-2 record on the season.

Ludington posted a 1-1-2 record on the evening.

The Orioles were led by Erin Maltbie with 14 kills and four blocks while Courtney Gerovac added 29 assists.
