The Fremont football squad lost 51-26 to Chippewa Hills in a non-conference contest on Thursday.

The Packers fell behind 25-7 after the first quarter and trailed 37-14 at halftime.

Chippewa Hills jumped out to a 12-0 lead before the Packers cut their deficit to 12-7 on an interception return for a touchdown by Riley Krim.

Chippewa Hills scored the next 13 points to take a 25-7 advantage.

Fremont closed out its first half scoring on a 59-yard touchdown completion from quarterback Caleb Kooman to Krim.

Kooman connected with Krim for two more touchdowns in the second half, from 32 and 93 yards out.

Kooman passed for 257 yards with three touchdowns while Krim caught five passes for 216 yards and three scores.

The Packer defense was paced by Kooman with 10 tackles.

Fremont is now 0-2 on the season and will travel to face Reed City next Friday.
