The Fruitport soccer team defeated Grand Rapids Covenant Christian 5-2 in non-league play on Tuesday night. 
Zach Shane and Logan Fielding anchored the Trojans’ offense with two goals each, while Kaleb Krueger had one.
Nate Curtis, Eli VerMerris and Cam Schultz each recorded assists while goalkeeper Connor Hines tallied two saves.
Fruitport improved to 6-5 overall.
