The Hart volleyball team got its first win of the season on Thursday in an exciting four-set match against Holton.
The Pirates won 3-1 with set scores of 25-22, 25-22 and 25-14.
Hart was led offensively by Hailey Westerbeek with seven kills and Alyx Beachum with 15 assists. On the defensive side, Nicole Rockwell was strong with 16 digs.
Holton was paced by Kaylie Piper and Morgan Murat, who had five kills, respectively. Piper also played well on defense with 14 digs.
Hart is now 1-5 overall and 0-2 in West Michigan Conference play. Holton fell to 2-12-2 overall and 1-2 in the league.
