The Holton football team secured its third win of the season with a convincing 42-8 victory over White Cloud on Friday in CSAA Silver Division action.

The Red Devils grabbed a 14-0 lead after one quarter, led 35-0 at halftime, then extended their advantage to 42-0 after three quarters.

Derek Pouch had a big night for Holton, rushing for 155 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries.

Aaron Herron ran for 98 yards on 11 carries with one touchdown, while Brent McLaughlin totaled 75 yards on eight carries with one TD.

Zack Hogan and Bryce Ward also found the end zone for Holton.

The Red Devils’ defense also had a productive evening. The unit was led by Mitch Erickson, who registered six tackles, including a sack. Johnny Dominish had three tackles and an interception and Dalton Giddings had a sack.

Pouch, Hogan, Herron, Kaleb Kitchka, Hunter Younts and Brett Ward all had four tackles for Holton.

The Red Devils are now 3-3 overall and 2-2 in conference play.
