North Muskegon got big games from Chandler Edwards and Christian Brooks in a 45-0 West Michigan
Conference win over Mason County Central on Friday.

Edwards scored on runs of 46 and four yards in the first half, and Brooks added a four-yard score as the Norse built a 25-0 lead.

Brenden Moat caught a 56-yard TD pass from Norse quarterback Mack Young in the first half.

Brooks (six yards) and Edwards (66) scored again in the third quarter, and Jesse Cooke finished things off for North Muskegon with a four-yard touchdown run in the fourth.

North Muskegon, which improved to 3-2 overall and 2-2 in conference, finished with 496 total yards, compared to the Spartans’ 169.

The Norse had 341 yards on the ground, led by Edwards with 179 on eight carries, and Brooks with 124 on 10 carries. Young finished 4-of-5 passing for 118 yards.

Austin Hofman led MCC with 64 rushing yards and 55 receiving yards.
