The Shelby and Oakridge soccer teams played to a 1-1 deadlock on Tuesday in a West Michigan Conference matchup.
The first half was scoreless, then Oakridge took a 1-0 lead about 20 minutes into the second half on a goal by Brandon Thiele.
Shelby knotted the score a few minutes later onĀ a tally by Diego Gonzales, with an assist from Alberto Martinez.
Shelby outshot the Eagles 7-5.
Oakridge is now 5-2-2 overall and 3-1-1 in conference action. Shelby is 7-8-1 and 1-3-1.
