The Spring Lake volleyball squad won a tough match on the road Thursday in five sets, defeating Grand Rapids Catholic Central.

The Lakers dropped the first two sets, then came back winning the last three by scores of 25-21, 25-23, and 15-8.

Lauren Hellman had a masterful night with 21 kills, nine digs, and three blocks to lead the Lakers while Jenna Core also had a big night with nine kills.

Madeline Zenas chipped in with 50 assists, 19 digs and four kills.

Spring Lake is now 21-4 overall and tied for first place in the O-K Blue Conference with a solid 6-1 league record.
